Following Gators To Catch Bass At Millers Ferry, Alabama
My wife and i decided it would be a great time to slip off to the Alabama River and do some Bass fishing. It was a little windy but the water level was almost perfect with still some debris floating down the main channel of river. So we broke out the bait cast reels and started throwing our favorite bait. Check the bottom of post for some of our favorites.
Upon arriving at the fishing hole we noticed that the alligators where moving around and we just slowly followed them up the river bank. Everywhere the gators stopped and sat we caught a Bass after they moved. Coincidence? I am sure, but it was noticeable after the fourth Bass. The Alligators where amazing to see but these things were huge. I have seen gators all of my life here but one was as long as my boat.
Like I said earlier the water was just a couple of feet above full pool, a little murky and water temperature was 72 degrees. With a slight overcast. My wife was using a Zoom 6 Inch Lizard JuneBug in color, I was using my go to Zoom 6 inch Lizard Pumpkin in color.
I am going to go ahead and admit defeat. My wife caught 3 to my 1. We were there for about 4 hours but she tore me up from the back of the boat.

I wanted to let everyone know that now we are in the month of May the Largemouth and the Spotted Bass are biting in the grass about 15 feet off of the banks in 3 to 4 feet of water and laying next to logs.
