Demopolis City Landing Bank Fishing
As far as I know there are no restrictions on Bank Fishing at Demopolis City Landing in Demopolis, Alabama. There is plenty of rocks to fish off or if you want to fish off of grass (see pic above and below) the river is accessible from the grass bank also. To me the waters around the Demopolis City Landing looks like it would produce Crappie, Bream and Catfish depending on the season. Don’t forget that Alabama License. Foscue Creek Park Bank Fishing
If you are looking for somewhere to take the kids fishing and you want to go to the most beautiful U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Park in the State of Alabama? Foscue Creek Park is the Park you are looking for. With hundreds of feet of bank fishing shoreline, a playground, picnic area and restrooms. There are numerous spots to fish in the shade on Foscue creek or on the Tombigbee River. There is a daily use fee, so check-in with the front office or www.recreation.gov for more information.
Spillway Falls Park Bank Fishing
On Lower Pool Road driving past Lower Pool Landing on the Tombigbee River you will enter U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Spillway Falls Park. This is where you want to be if you want to fish the lower side of the Demopolis Lock and Dam on the Tombigbee River. There is plenty of shore line that goes the length of the shore (see pic above) right up close to the Lock. With the Dam being an uncontrolled spillway, we have a current below the Demopolis Dam most of the time. I believe that makes it a prime location for catfishing.
There are so many other locations to bank fish in Demopolis, Alabama on the Tombigbee River. On the way to Foscue Creek Park there are numerous bridges over sloughs you could drop a line in and catch fish pretty quick. I believe the Demopolis, Alabama area is one the best areas to come bank fish in Alabama.
