Holleys Ferry Boat Landing On The Alabama River
If you are wanting to do some fishing below Millers Ferry Dam come on down to Holleys Ferry Park Boat Landing. About 5 miles outside of Camden, Alabama on Alabama State Highway 10 West you will find Holleys Ferry Landing. After turning right off of Alabama Highway 10 travel down the dirt road about a mile.
Restroom Facilities
On the way down the dirt road you will find the restroom facility. You might wonder why it is halfway down the road instead of down by the boat ramp. Well certain times of the year the Holleys Ferry Boat Landing will flood and you might possibly see that potty floating down the river if it was down by the landing.
Parking and Fees
After arriving at the bottom of the hill at Holleys Ferry you will see a parking area to the left. There is not a lot of parking available and I would describe the area as a little primitive and unkempt. There is no fee required to launch your boat, PWC or kayak here at Holleys Ferry Park. But as you might notice in the picture a four wheel drive is recommended if launching when there is mud built up on the boat ramp from heavy rain or Alabama River Flooding. Being a local I would recommend only using this park in the day.
Boat Landing
To the right of the parking lot you will see two roads. Drive down the road closest to the Alabama River bank. This will take you down to the ramp. This road drives straight by the Landing and goes back up the hill and makes a circle allowing you to pull out either way. Like I said earlier if the river is up or recently flooded a four wheel or all wheel drive vehicle is recommended but if it has not rained in a while you should be ok. Also there is no dock at the Boat Ramp, so bring a long rope. Check out my drive through video above.
Bank Fishing At Holleys Ferry Park On Alabama River
When you pull down to the parking lot you will notice a body of water to the right. This is Lake Glen at Holleys Ferry Park as noted on maps. There are benches and trails around this lake. The trails used to be marked and kept clean but that is not the case at this time. So walk around this lake carefully. You may also see an alligator basking in the sun on a warm day. Also you can walk down to the landing and pick you out a spot to set up and do some Alabama River bank fishing. If you are wanting to Launch your boat closer to Millers Ferry Lock and Dam I recommend Cobbs landing at Canton Bend here is my post on it https://comefishalabama.com/cobbs-landing-at-canton-bend-alabama/ also email me if you have any questions at comefishalabama@gmail.com
