These Lures Catch Bass on Lake Millers Ferry, Alabama
If you are going to Bass Fish at Lake Millers Ferry or on the Alabama River above the Millers Ferry Lock and Dam these are my go to baits. They have been proven to catch Spotted and Large Mouth Bass year after year. 1. Strike King KVD 2.5 Crankbait
One of my favorite Lures to throw is a crankbait. Strike King and KVD have come out with a square bill bait that Bass love. I fish a lot of shallow and ledges and these deliver. I guarantee it. I recommend the Chili Craw color, I like the KVD 2.5 that dives to depths between 3 to 5 feet. With this and all of the Crankbaits listed it is not the diving depth you need to focus on it is the Baits colors. These colors will work at all depths on the Alabama River at Lake Millers Ferry above and below the Lock and Dam.
2. Strike King KVD 1.5 Crankbait
Just like the Crankbait above I prefer the Strike King KVD brand for my Square Bill Shallow Diving Baits. But Like I said before focus on the color. My go to color is a crawfish color Chili Craw and this one Black Back Chart mimicking a blue gill. With these two I am wanting to match the hatch of course.
3. Bomber Fat Free Fingerling
This is my go to Crankbait when fishing for Spotted Bass on the Alabama River near Camden, Alabama. The Bomber Fat Free Shad Pearl White in all diving depths depending on the water depth you are fishing, is all you need when they start pulling water at the Millers Ferry Damn and the Spotted Bass go to biting. I have caught them large and small on this bait that matches the hatch of shad.
4. Zoom 6 Inch Lizard Super Salt Plus
Now I have not told many people over the years about this bait but here it is The Zoom Super Salt Plus 6 inch Lizard in Pumpkin Chartreuse. I have used these for over 20 years on Lake Millers Ferry in the Spring, Winter, And Fall and have caught numerous largemouth bass. In the Spring when the Bass start coming off or going to bed they will attack these Lizards.
